OBEY by Erin Law

OBEY is a co-creative project that explores cultural rules and structures and the effects of unexamined complacency and conformity on those in the margins. 

In their creative process, they questions binary oppositional thinking by inviting a deeper and more nuanced perspective, brought to form in various - and sometimes contradictory - layers.

reMemory by Aaron Allen

Through a 45-minute movement journey, a company of 12 dancers take the audience on a ride through pivotal moments of black history to find an answer to the question, "How far have we come?" These explorations are embodied through movement, text, and music. "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

Sentient by JaVonte' Marquez

Sentient is a sci-fi tale told by 12 artificially intelligent dolls who are ignorant of their own existence; until their vessels are uploaded with a corrupt code that makes them sensitive to perception and feeling. As the code takes over the doll's data, the line between artificial and ethereal becomes blurred, while the discovery of their autonomy spirals.

The Silence Has Much To Say by Kourtney French

A movement performance representing a healing journey. The Silence Has Much To Say brings awareness to those who are afraid to speak up about how they feel. Kourtney gives voice to those who have dealt with past trauma; illustrates how this trauma resulted in mental health issues; and resolves that breaking the silence is vital to resolution. Resolution is necessary in getting to the destination. The destination of healing is the goal.
